This image is of drops of waterfall spray hitting a pool of water at a location named Lower Emerald Pools in Zion National Park.
This location is one the most assessible places in the park.
In early to mid-November the autumn colors are peaking. However, this is not a reflection of leaves. It is a reflection of distant mountains in the afternoon sun.
Feature Image Details
- EOS R5 Mirrorless Camera
- Canon 100-400 MM F 4.5-5.6 L Lens
- F9.5 for 1/90th second ISO 1600, 241mm
This image is focus stacked. I took a few images of foreground and middle area and literally a thousand images of the drops hitting the water. I discarded nearly all of those images except the few with the best circular patterns.
Here is another image showing nice circular patterns.
