This website is about capturing that special moment in life’s journey and making the most of the time we have. It’s about photography, just for the joy of it. Rather than dealing just with pretty pictures, I seek to tell a story: when, what, where, and how. When applicable I offer tips on Lightroom, Photoshop, equipment, and photographic technique.
I go by the nickname of “Mish” which is simply the first two characters of my first and last name. I picked that up as a truncation of a user ID I had in stock chat rooms long ago.
I have had about 80 magazine or book covers, most of which were from Wisconsin or Michigan, with Illinois a distant third.

For personal reasons, I stopped photography in 2001. I then turned my attention to the economy. My economics blog, MishTalk.Com gets about a million page hits a month for those interested in the global economy.
I am back into photography now, and love to travel with my wife, best friend, and soulmate Liz.
