This is what our back garden looks like in the Spring, March through May. This was a great year for cactus and other blooms.

The cactus with huge white blooms is an Argentinian Saguaro. The blooms only last a day opening in the afternoon and last through the next morning, fading rapidly starting about noon.

The above image is a blend of 8 or more images focused on different spots so that everything is in focus. All of the images on this page are focus stacked.

Any breeze or direct sun would have killed these images.

A breeze would have motion issues and direct sun would have contrast issues.

Yellow Saguaros

The saguaros come with white, yellow, or pink blooms. We have many with white blooms and one with yellow blooms.

Those yellow flowers are all from the same cactus. The difference in the intensity of the yellow is a different set of blooms. On one set I had sun but shaded by a white umbrella. The other was on a cloudy day.
