About Fremont

During the construction of Interstate 70, the largest known Fremont Indian village was uncovered.

An on-site museum preserves treasures from the site, including pottery, baskets, and arrowheads. Trails lead to the Centennial Cabin, pictographs, and petroglyphs.

A half-day is about all you need. I found the light is best near sunset for the cabin and the Meditation Spiral. The rock art is best in reflected light or weak clouds. Avoid harsh shadows.
