Fun With Winter Shadows

The images were taken in early February after a winter snowfall. The next set of images were taken on a different day. Light constantly changes.

On the following set of images, the sun was higher in the sky then went behind a weak cloud at sunset so the colors are not as intense.

  1. It’s a tough choice. I like the long shadows but the sun went behind a weak cloud and the contrast isn’t as nice. I also struggled with the house on that one.

I almost did not even use the lead image simply because it does not seem to fit in. Certainly, it was on a different day under different conditions.

The second is at the top of my list as well. It has strong shadows and perhaps the best framing.
