Fun With Winter Shadows

The images were taken in early February after a winter snowfall. The next set of images were taken on a different day. Light constantly changes.

On the following set of images, the sun was higher in the sky then went behind a weak cloud at sunset so the colors are not as intense.

  1. would be interesting to see what your favourate is (of the set). Mine would be the second as the background is less distracting and the shadow of the bench is nice.

  2. It’s a tough choice. I like the long shadows but the sun went behind a weak cloud and the contrast isn’t as nice. I also struggled with the house on that one.

I almost did not even use the lead image simply because it does not seem to fit in. Certainly, it was on a different day under different conditions.

The second is at the top of my list as well. It has strong shadows and perhaps the best framing.
